CCPD’s 1st Annual No-Shave November!

This year, our police department will be participating in No-Shave November, a campaign aimed at bringing awareness to cancer and raising money for cancer research! Being that this is our first time, we are incredibly excited to take part in this event and will do everything we can to help the cause.

Officers that join the cause will ditch their razors for the month of November, along with making donations towards cancer research and education. The awareness and donations go a long way, as this disease is one that impacts so many loved ones in our lives.

We ask the public to join us in this campaign. We are seeking our community members to spark conversations with your family members and friends about cancer awareness.

“We are so excited to support this cause for the first time in our agency’s history. We look forward to doing our part in helping to raise awareness and support the battle against this dreadful disease.”

Chief Gabriel Rodriguez

About No-Shave November

No-Shave November is a month-long journey during which participants forgo shaving and grooming in order to evoke conversation and raise cancer awareness.

The goal of No-Shave November is to grow awareness by embracing our hair, which many cancer patients lose, and letting it grow wild and free. Donate the money you typically spend on shaving and grooming to educate about cancer prevention, save lives, and aid those fighting the battle.

From a few facebook followers willing to donate their hard-earned money to thousands of donors championing against cancer, No-Shave November has become a nationwide celebration. Every November for the past ten years, No-Shavers have donated the cost of grooming (from a few dollars on razors to $100 on a salon visit) and helped our organization raise over $10 million to date. While this family run, web-based organization has grown exponentially since 2009, No-Shave November’s goal has not changed. We promise to keep raising money for cancer prevention, education, and research and to let that hair grow in the process! We want every participant to embrace their hair for the many cancer patients that lose theirs due to vigorous treatments. We believe that together, anything is possible, and we’ll get closer to eradicating cancer one whisker at a time!
