The Camden County Police Department is proud to recognize two officers this week – Angel Berrios and Jose Henriquez – who helped make the city safer by recognizing and arresting a suspect wanted for attempted murder.
Officers Berrios and Henriquez joined the Camden County Police Department in 2016 and both currently serve in the Neighborhood Response Team in the 2nd and 4th Districts.
On Aug. 27, while on patrol in the area of Central Avenue and Kossuth Street, when they observed a vehicle driving in the area in which the driver appeared to be a juvenile suspect they recognized who was wanted for attempted murder and had been involved in several incidents of violence, including shootings. Officers Berrios and Henriquez followed the vehicle and when it parked on Filmore Street they were able to approach the driver and place him under arrest without incident
“Officer Berrios’ and Henriquez’s attention to detail and dedication to protecting the community led to the apprehension of this dangerous suspect,” said Lt. Jason Pike.
For their outstanding work, we honor Officers Berrios and Henriquez as Camden County Police Department Officers of the Week.← Giants players visit Camden to learn more about community policing Now hiring certified SLEO II candidates →
