This week, the Camden County Police Department is proud to recognize the work of Officer Daryl Albert.
Officer Albert joined the department in 2013 after previously working for the Asbury Park Police Department. He is assigned to the Patrol Division in the city’s 4th District.
On Feb. 11 at approximately 2 a.m., Officer Albert was on patrol in the area of Haddon and Kaighn avenues when he observed an individual exiting a bar who he recognized as a fugitive wanted for robbery and aggravated assault. Officer Albert got out of his vehicle and approached the suspect who immediately ran into an alleyway parallel to Kaighn Avenue. Officer Albert chased the suspect on foot while assisting officers established a perimeter. The suspect was caught and arrested without incident when he ran into the bar and then tried to exit out the front door.
“Officer Albert’s attention to detail and proactive approach demonstrates his diligence in protecting the public,” said Sergeant Michael Ross.
For his outstanding work in apprehending a violent fugitive, we honor Officer Albert as Camden County Police Department Officer of the Week.← Missing person – Carlos Flores Missing person – Jose Camacho →
